Four score and four years ago...

I quit racing. I am back at it again and some things have changed (motorcycle technology) and some things have not (faster bikes are hard to get around!)

I struggled early in the weekend figuring out the Triumph Daytona 675 and its idiosynchrosis but learned a few things in the process. I learned that I was wasting time trying to figure out why I wasn't using all of my suspension travel when in reality there are 17mm of fork leg that will never get touched by the fork tube...interesting engineering on Triumph's part. I also learned that the trumpet has some killer mid range and is very forgiving when stuck in a taller gear. Lastly, I learned that I left my balls at home before I left for the track but made sure to borrow one of Meghan Stiles skirts when I got there ;)

Being beaten by a woman is nothing new to me; my wife beats me all the time :) but my helmet's off to Meghan for putting together an admirable pace and also because I am sure there is no greater feeling for her to be putting the smack down on boys like me...

All kidding aside, I should have gotten by the gentleman in front of me but I did not and Meghan drove past me for the position. I did have much fun this weekend and I will be back in August for another round. I just faxed my pre entry form as well...not making that mistake again.

Thanks to Everyone at the track for helping me get back up to speed.

Benji.

I just doubled your positive karma count!

Who did you piss off to get in the hole so deep on the negative side?

Wait.......  who am I to ask that question?  :ahhh:   :thumb:

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

Edgar,

Just bring that thing you forgot to the next Blackhawk.  Everybody is fine with that.

I hear that the CWs found a skirt in the men's shower. They thought it was just some hanky panky goin' on, but obviously that's where you left it. I think they'll let you have it back in exchange for beer.

It was cool, he didn't bring the leg warmers.

(He did promise them for next time, just for you).

I plan on bringing my new skirt in August. However, I will be showing off my balls everytime I pass Roadrash...

As for the bandana, and the hightop mismatched tube socks...you all just wish you were as cool as my 1970's Wimbledon gear!

MegRyan

Yeah I have to admit that was a good race, once i finally got the bike into gear and off the line.

Yes!
I am very sorry for not mentioning Rob in my thank yous. Without his help and the use of his special tool (all 120 mm of it)...I would have never made it to the grid for the GTU!!!

;)
