Summary:

GT Lights: 1st
LW Formula 40: 1st
LW Superbike: 1st
Thunderbike: 2nd
GP Lights: 10th I got meatballed for jump starting  ..... more below.

Higlights for this weekend:

1) Lost 80% of front brakes going into turn 1 on Friday (left brake line was leaking).
AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!.  Made it......
No damage, just a new pair of underwear needed.

2) Seeing Robert Jensen making turn one lap after lap. Man, very humbling.
I was only dissapointed he didn't retire in Sunday's race to let some of the CCS regulars take the cash.....

3) Todd Murray and Joel Spalding's Amateur Super Twin battle. Truly, one of the best races I've ever seen.
It was EPIC.

My highlights.

1. Jon Gu passing me for 1st place on turn 7 in his Supersport SV and waving me in the straight line knowing that I was going to over power  him. Of course, I waved back. The guys at the tower were wondering what the hell was going on...

2. "Racing" with Joe Spalding. I think that he had already finished packing up his trailer when I crossed the line for second.

3. The LW Superbike race. It was a dogfight and lots of fun.

4. MY MEATBALL:

(NOTE: for those of you WITHOUT sense of humor, IT WAS CLEARLY AN EARLY START.)

For the rest of you, read on.

After the race I approached the officials as representative for A&T Racing (Age and Trickery) to appeal a clearly unjust call.

My arguments:

(1) Eddie Rusch was killing me in every start. He is nearly 40 years younger. His reflexes are 10x faster than mine. It's only fair that I get at least a second of advantage.
The argument didn't fly.....

(2) In golf, at club level, senior players are sometimes granted a "Mulligan" (a do-over).
(They are allowed to hit again if the first shot goes to hell.) Well, I think that +50 racers should get at least one jump start per weekend.
That didn't fly either

(3) OK. Again from golf. There are different tee-off areas: ladies, men and pros.
Well, CCS should implement a +50 start line (approx. 10 feet closer to Turn one) OR allow for a "generous" start.
Again, they were not moved by the argument.

So, this weekend, Skills and Youth prevailed in the GP race.

But this was just one battle, A&T Racing team members will continue ploting new tricks......

I think he was using the non yamaha paying races for set up time and then ran the whole race in the yammy money races

Hernan,

You did present a very strong case on all of the above points......

After thoughtful consideration of your arguments by the Supreme Court of CCS the following decision on your case has been decided......  :whine: :whine: :wah: :wah:

NICE TRY!  :thumb:

But seriously, it was fun to hear your passionate speech for a special exemption though.  You took it all like a man and kept everyone smiling.

Great year for you so far!  Look forward to seeing you at the next Blackhawk.

Robert was only there to collect Yamaha money why would he pull in to let someone else have it? that makes no sense to me...
