I'll start it off......

from 12 yr old Am #971 Michael Lainhart to his father after running out of gas and riding back into the paddock on the crash truck following the USGPRU 125GP race on Sunday:

'Well, I guess SOMEONE didn't take care of business on THEIR end!'

Take 2,

Overheard Friday night at Schwarz's Supper Club........

Cute Schwarz's Server:  Are you Edgar?

Edgar: (apprehensively) Yeah, uh why?

CSS: Oh, you're the only one I remember my sister talking about from last year.

Edgar: (apprehension rising further)  Which one was your sister?

CSS: She was the one you went to that party with after the restaurant closed down.  She said you were a lot     of fun.

Edgar:(afraid to hear the answer to this question)  How old is your sister?

CSS: Oh, she's older than me, she's 20 now.

Edgar: (again, fearing what he might hear)  So, how is your sister?

CSS:  She's good, she said she had a good time last year.

Edgar: (very relieved)  That's good to hear.  Tell your sister Hi for me!

Ed Key after wadding up his SV due to a transmission failure that caused him to go down in his own oil:

'Yeah, you're right a low oil pressure warning light would have been helpful in this situation.  But do you know much weight that would add to the bike?'

Those are only funny when immediatly followed by an exact quote of how many grams it actually added, as well as the percentage changes of weight distribution, and the fractional number of turns you need to take out of front preload, and the depth of the countersunk drill bit hole he will need to put into the lead weights to make up for the oil pressure light and mechanism, etc...etc....

Reminds me of the time I was marveling at all of the silly trick shit Ed has done to his bikes, when I jokingly said, whats next helium in the tires? He looked at me, dead pan mind you, and said it wasnt worth it only shaved blah blah blah grams, and the tire pressure chages were unpredictable to the Nth percentile when hot, etc etc. One of my goals is to find something on the bike he hasnt thought of yet, im getting close, especially with how much time ive been spending inside SV motors lately  :ahhh: But I must take some credit on two points, ONE. my gigantic ass leaned on Ed's carbon bar only to find out it had a major failure weakspot waiting to break, who's to say it was like that before or after i leaned on it  and TWO. I coined Ed with his new nickname, spider monkey. As in "Better be careful with that Ed fellow, he looks tame, one second he will be typing in force equations on his calculator, next thing you know he will be coming at you like a spider monkey for asking when he is going to start racing fast bikes, like BMW's.

Do or do not, there is no "try".
