Wow, looks so slow in the video whereas in real life it felt like "omg brake now, what?? BAM!" I guess it was less than a second between when he slowed down from that downshift and when I hit him, but man it leaves me thinking of all the things I could have done so that that didn't happen. Could have gone for an inside pass instead of setting up for a good drive. Could have paid more attention to him slowing down instead of the brake markers. Could have swerved left instead of trying to brake. Oh well, it's too late for that now.

Just wanted to let you all know that I spoke with Aaron about 30 minutes ago and he is getting out of the hospital today and going home.  He said it is going to be a long ride back to Kansas but is happy to be going home.
