Today is the last day they sell XP.  Sad, because I don't like Vista, but then nothing is constant but change.  I use it at work, the long update downloads sux and other issues with compatible software. Read link below.  If your unsatisfied with Vista and want to rollback your computer to XP, now is the time to buy your copy!  :ahhh:

I had so much problems with VISTA compatability, that I sold my new laptop I bought a couple months ago and bought a new Dell last week just before the deadline to get it with XP. I tried to put xp on the other one but because it is an HP  laptop I had a tough time getting proper drivers. It worked with xp, but I preferred to get one designed that way.

You can still buy XP software, the availability will be restricted on OEM machines.

True, but only until the end of January, from what the article reads.  When I got to work yesterday morning, Microsoft just did their Service Pack 1 update for Vista, which took about and hour to download and reconfigure (twiddling my thumbs, waiting...waiting.... ).

BTW, does anyone know how to turn off the constant permissions that Vista asks to move files, delete files, etc.?  That would be SWEET.  :lmao:

WHAT!!?? No more XP?  Now  what?  Someday, I may want to get a different Dell laptop.  The world as we know it, is coming to an end!

Wait for the next gen of Windows, they seem to get it right every other time.  :lmao:
