TrackAddix

There was another racer injured last weekend during our Hastings event that has not been mentioned yet on the forum.  TrackAddix sponsored racer, Mike Murray #90 joined the "broken collar bone" club that so many of us roadracers belong to.  In the process he took a pretty good hit to his noggin causing a pretty serious concussion.  Initially he returned the same day to the track and seemed fine.  Later that evening, while we were out to dinner, he began to feel light headed and passed out in the restaurant.  911 was called and he was wisked back to the hospital for an overnight stay.  We want to give a special thanks for the assistance of Brandy Weaver #567, turns out she is a trauma room nurse.  It never ceases to amaze me at the real life jobs and talent of the racers in our series!

Afterward the whole thing was kind of funny.  Here is this poor restaurant owner in Hastings, his quiet little Italian restaurant suddenly overrun by TrackAddix personnel.  Next thing they know a customer passes out and an ambulance arrives.  Never a good thing to have an ambulance parked out in front of your restaurant, if you know what I mean.  Oh well, add another restaurant to the list that TrackAddix is no longer welcome to....we did leave a BIG tip though.

Mike is back home now and is doing fine other than some memory loss.  One of the things he can't remember is who his girlfriend is....which as far as I'm concerned means she's up for grabs!

Glad to know he is doing well.  Didn't know about the concussion part.  I always expect an ambulance at the Barrel Bar.  Just due to the age of the clientel :)

Mike Dill,

The only way you might have a chance with the girlfriend is if she was the one who was knocked out!  :ass:

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Get back quick,
I went through the collar bone / concussion - delay thing, 2 days after released from the hospital, my equilibrium went wacky for about 5 days, couldn't stand up or walk without help.
Dr's said it was a grade 3 -severe concussion.
Good luck.
