I was just wondering what everyones thoughts are on having stock suspension setup, superbike italia is near where i live and they want 80 dollars to set it up for me.  just didnt know if i will be able to notice a difference being that all the suspension is stock and if its worth spending the money on.

thanks in advance for your replies

It is very much worth it.  I droped several seconds on my very next out lap after having the setup done.   It was shocking !(no pun :jerkoff:) They have done mine.

I raced my 05 R6 last year on a stock suspension and when the sag was set I dropped overall close to 10 seconds.  However, keep in mind as you get faster the suspension will need to be adjusted to work for you...something I wish I had known last year.

Good luck!

Wow.. I had no idea that your suspension could help you that much. I have GMD close to me and have always considered taking my bike to them, but just never knew if it was worth it.  I will definitely take it now

We'll be at all the midwest rounds doing setups for $50. Come to the Lithium Motorsports pit anytime and talk to Jason or Rob.

Fast Cletus, i see in your Avatar pic your racing at Moroso.. Take the bike to Eric at GMD, it is close and he is at the FL region races.

Setting up stock suspension?!  Look, yes, it is worth the $80, but I would say knowing what the knobs, screws and clickers do is MUCH more important.  For some guy to take it (while NOT at the track), turn some knobs and actually get it right is a shot in the dark.  Take a few days surfing the net and learning the physics of suspension and then you will know exactly what needs to get tweaked to achieve the feeling you want.  There's no worse feeling than being in the dark.
