My suggestion would be when they rope it off they rope the entire section on all sides that the vendor reserves.  Just puttng a line of tape accross doesn't really tell you where the vendor is going.  That was the cause of the issues May 3, 4.  When we got there we tried to make a judgment as to where the vendor was going.  In front of the tape or behind. Nobody knew which side of the tape the vendor had reserved.  Sure we know now but not the next guy.

not sure what they did over there. they normally rope off my spot on all sides. but that didn't stop someone from driving right over the tape last weekend to park there. Luckily a freind of mine was there early on thurs. and told the person they had to move, which they did finally after some argument about it. And I have been vending fuel in the same spot across from the gas pumps for 3 years now.

yes, there is no designated vendor area at Summit. Some tracks do have a designated area but not Summit. As a vendor you pay a premium to be able to sell at the track and should be allowed to set up wherever that best serves you and your customers. I think ideally it would be best for the vendors to be in the center, which is where I set up, that way it gives the best access to all the racers, rather then being all the way at the end of the pits.

They just put one line of tape across the row there.  I figured he was going in front of it but I was wrong and it was behind it because his electric cord was not long enough.  Not only that they got there so late it was a almost impossible for them to get that big trailer in.  I didn't think he was rude and he didn't make us move which I really appreciated.   We managed to fit him in there .

It would be nice if there was better power at Summit for the vendors. Cut down on noise from generators if nothing else. Also, I can't believe that that's the best place for Pirelli to setup shop aside from power needs. They aren't as visible and they need to take up 6 spaces in order to have room for customers in the front and to enter. Seems like an awkward fit. I wonder if it effects them +/-?

Of course I should also assume that bringing in better power for the vendors would also be a great expense for Summit Point and probably not justifiable.
