Well, there was a time when we raced with OEM bodywork.  There weren't too many options for aftermarket stuff.  The belly pan thing started to hit around 92 or 93, as I remember it.

Riders are still bone heads and crash very well without oil.  I know...   :spank:

Dave, not 92 or 93, was running the AMA EBC pro endurance series. I admit to olling canada corner at road america, Oil ,all body work, tank, entire front end. Thank the Lord for the 'B' bike. Setting pole vault records sucks.

Two Brothers had those lowers.  I had Sharkskins & Beasley, and they were open.  Commonwealth had warranty OEM plastic painted up for a while yet.  I can't remember when it finally became mandatory, but, to me, it hasn't been terribly long.  Might not have been until 2001 or 2002 for CCS.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

Can't wait until they bring this thing to the U.S.

Let's see, an affordable class of AMA Pro racing. Ample dealer and factory support for privateers. Close competition. And it launched the careers of previous unknowns like Jake Zemke, Aaron Yates, and Ben and Eric Bostrom and many more.

Yeah, that pretty much sucked.
