So, when DMG offers a Harley specific class for these bikes and others like them...

DMG spec class-----when hell freezes over.

Already been done in the AMA before...  Was a really neat program, actually.

What are they trying to do?

Insult Eric Buell.

Why should he be insulted?  He's got bikes that fit into a current and potentially new classes, don't you think?

Yes Dave, in the early 90's the AMA did run those, and yes the Bostroms, Mike Hale, Nigel Gale  and assorted others ran the class. And yes they too frequently left various things on the track--no belly pan rule back in the day. Most other classes really hated being the next group out.

Yeah, guess I was thinking inside the box.
I don't know what class it will fit in, but the 1125R is one serious machine.
I will really get worried when I see  Buell come out with a "Rocker"
:lmao:

Yeah, but I never fell down in that oil from the Harley's.  It was always the oil from regular ol' Japanese bikes that caused me problems.

I couldn't find a dealer to work with on the project of doing it at the time in Omaha.

Good point, now we see why everybody requires enclosed belly pans.
