It was great spending time with everyone at Daytona, got back home in Md, took my blazer and race trailer down the highway with a load of furniture cause we are moving to Florida, and a drunk driver ran right through an intersection and T-boned my truck on US Rt 50.  I am very grateful my family was not with me, but my buddy and I got banged up pretty good, totaled the trailer, and the #220race truck looks like my bike after a turn 10 wad at Summit Point!!!  A bunch of folks stopped to help us and a Trooper happened to be following behind me,  he watched as the guy plowed into my truck and then threw his beer bottles out of his car window!  Dude was locked up, over twice the intoxicated limit.  And you better believe when my blazer was sliding sideways down the highway with a tractor trailer swerving hard to avoid eating us through my drivers door, this backmarker chaplain was getting off some pretty darn podium fast prayers...and we came to a stop in the median before entering the oncoming lanes of traffic.  Good to be alive bros, I hugged the family a little harder when I finally got home.  It's kinda strange, having faith doesnt mean we wont go through tough times, but even with suffering, we can still be grateful for what we have, and understand what other folks are going through.  Guess God wants me around a little longer.  See ya at Carolina.

Hey Brother, good seeing you at Daytona, and glad that you're OK!  Trailers, trucks, and bikes can be replaced, and hopefully that guy has enough money/insurance (does insurance cover DUI accidents?) that you won't be out of pocket (heck, you might even be able to upgrade!).

Hopefully whatever scrapes and bruises you and your buddy suffered will be healed by April.  See you at CMP brother!

p.s.  To where in FL are you moving?

Super Dave

Doesn't some of that stuff rub off on me when you throw a shout out to your boy upstairs before the race? I was looking forward to some snake handling at Summit this year...

Glad to hear you are alright... See ya at CMP!!!

Glad you weren't hauling faster than your angel can fly.
Glad you are OK.

Had a similar event back in 2003.  High School girl putting on her make-up hit me at an estimated 75 mph.  No brakes at all.  Its amazing but your body and vehicles can actually endure.

Prayers to your pains and good luck with the insurance.

PS.  Show up in court and it helps, when it comes judgment time.

Hey Art:  I'm really glad you guys walked away from it.  Enjoyed meeting you in the registration line for Team Hammer and hope the move goes well from now on.  It's great that you'll be doing the champlain thing permanently.
