Bridgestone in Daytona

For those planning on running Bridgestone in Daytona:
Spoke with Derek (Stick), the HQ in Indy and finally Jerman the distributor for Florida (based out of MIA). Currently, there is no one scheduled to be in Daytona. Jerman says he currently has no plans as he's not receiving support from their HQ, but that MAY change. Will have more info @ 4pm today.

Thanks for the update. I have been getting a lot of people taken care of over the last week. I'm here in Columbia, SC. If anybody needs anything on thier way down, I can meet you around here somewhere or ship to the track.

This boggles my mind - I thought they pulled out of the AMA a couple years back so they could concentrate on club racing. Doesn't seem to me that they have.

They did pull out to go back to club racing, but they contract out all of the tracks in the country to sub-distributors like me. I have 8 tracks. Then I am responsible for covering my events.

Either nobody picked up Daytona, or they are not covering it. JGP for the other org is as low as I am allowed to go without getting in trouble. They protect out tracks for us. For instance I can't show up at someone else's track and sell tires or I will lose my contract.

It is a big event like my Road A events, so it should make for good sales, but it will also cost a lot to attend. I have a couple of events that I know I will lose money on, but I cover them to try and build it up to where it is supposed to be.
