Here's some info for those of you who who may be interested in working the upcoming races at Daytona, Indy, Laguna and Miller.

If you have not worked races in the SE with Egor and U.S. Marshalls before, you will need to go thru a training session.

This is not intended for people who have no, or little corner marshalling experience............

GREETINGS FROM FLORIDA

Moto GP at Indianapolis
Moto GP at Laguna Seca
World Superbike at Miller
Daytona 200 Week

Never before has there been such an opportunity to participate in this many
top level races in this country! Hundreds of thousands of people will go, a
fraction will take part. There is no better way to go to the races and
actually participate than to serve as a marshall. Marshalls are needed for
these FIM and many other races on the calendar for 2008.World class events
require an army of world class workers. Being a world class worker is a
multi-step process that begins with an attitude of wanting to be an
outstanding marshall. The next step is building and improving the skill set
required for each position. The final step is performing on the world
stage.

The most difficult part of achieving excellence is recognizing that there
is a need to improve. The reality is that everyone can and should learn
every time that there is an event. If you work you make mistakes, some are
noticed by others, many are not. Talk about your mistakes at the meetings,
and take the chance to learn from them all large or small.

The second step is building on your set of skills. Daytona 200 Week
provides the chance to develop an attitude of excellence, an opportunity
for formal training, multiple days on station, and concludes with a major
televised race. You are receiving this as part of your invitation to work
the Daytona 200 Week. You have shown a desire to make a difference, or
someone has thought enough of you to nominate you for consideration.
Daytona is a great place to build your skills, get additional training,
establish relationships, and start off this monumental racing season. The
Daytona 200 week is always a big deal, but the 2008 Daytona 200 is the best
preparation you can get for the inaugural Moto GP at Indianapolis which
will be held on September 14, 2008.

Daytona 200 Week: February 28-March 8, 2008
The event begins with Hammer School on Thursday February 28. The Supercross
runs on Friday March 7, therefore we are off, and the Daytona 200 will be
held on Saturday March 8.
