Is an aluminum subframe on an SV650 SS legal?  I know the rules state that it must have the original frame unmodified, but is that extended to the saubframe as well?

Also, does the wiring harness need to be intact and uncut for SS?

An SV650 has a removeable "subframe", its separate from the frame.  Also, where do the rules say the frame must be unmodified?  Its been a well accepted practice to modify the OEM forks and swingarm... why would the frame be any different.  If you start removing load bearing gussets that hold suspension or driveline components, you won't make it through tech.

10 years ago (and further) most bikes had one piece frame and subframe.  Generally, hacking the subframe was done to avoid spreading the frame in the event of a loop.

The rules don't even mention the wiring harness.parts
