OK, I've decided to go with Dunlops. Now, I want to be prepared when I come to the track on that first Friday. So, I can either buy tires now, and spend an extra $35 to have them shipped and mounted, or I can buy them at the track that friday morning, but then that means I have work to do on the bike before I even hit the track.

How hectic will the Dunlop guys be that Friday morning right at 7? I want to get as much track time as possible, but I'd also like to save the $. So, what does everyone think? Should I buy at the track, and take care of the swap then, or come with the bike TOTALLY ready to go, so that there's a LOT less for me to worry about, and so I KNOW that everything's done RIGHT, as far as the bike goes.

Suggestions? If it means a LOT easier morning, or getting out of a 1/2 hour wait in line, I'll pay the $35 and get them now. But, if it's gonna be probably just a few people, and won't take too long, I'll save the $.

Just looking for input and suggestions.

Thoughts?

Nate, Andy (the dunlop guy) won't be there at 7:00am on Friday.  He probably won't show until that afternoon.

Don't blow a ton of cash on shipping, I'm going to be making a trip to MD Racing here pretty soon and can bring you back some 208's.

As for working on your bike before the weekend, get used to it.

If I pick you up tires, I can help you mount and balance them too...

Relax, it all comes together when the flag drops.  Before then, all bets are off!  (you aren't a racer if you can't push out a #2 in full leathers between first and third call).

I felt like I had finally arrived when I barfed in my helmet during a race.  Lets hear it for light lunches from now on! :o

LOL, I haven't experienced that one yet.
I still have this "I gotta pee AGAIN" thing happening after every 1st and 2nd call for my races.

ROFLMOO!!

Until they can put a drop-seat-flap in 1-piece leathers, I don't wanna hear about how you GUYS gotta PEE between 1st-2nd call. ;)
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Don't worry...  You get over it over time...  It does take a few years though. ;D

When I wrestled in HS for a well regarded ranked program that drew a few hundred to a few thousand for dual meets, I used to get those nerves in hyperdrive.  All alone, in the middle of the mat with all eyes on you in a tight little (add your adjective here) singlet, with an introduction that would make the Chicago Bulls Jordan era introductions proud.  Heady stuff for a teenager.

Now, they are still there pre-race, but not like then.  I think it's like S_D said...after awhile they come under control :)
