So... I know we  can't stay at the track, but what about our stuff? Do you guys pick a paddock, set up, and keep your trailer/bikes there all weekend? It almost seems safer to have all my crap locked up inside the track instead of a hotel parking lot. I don't have the loot to spend on a garage either.

yup...stuff can stay at the track...trailers too. They lock the gates 60 mins after last checkered flag of the day. and you can camp at the track...out side of the garage area.

everything seems to be safe there
i kept the trailer in the paddock the last 2 years and just locked up what could walk away easy and pulled the canopy down over the bike and everything was fine

That sounds like a plan! I was worried we were going to have to pack up every night and then take shifts guard dogging the trailer out in town.

what about showers and such?

showers are available - concessions are open during racing hours. I've camped in a trailer at the track and one of the tunnels was open for infield access - not sure if it's all night - but I know it was late one night (early morning actually)

Does CCS have a discounted hotel at Daytona pre-arranged for racers?

Eric Kelcher

Yes Extended Stay on Bill France (386)257-4311 it is less than a mile from the track, it is a week special that is as cheap as many others 3 day minimums)

I am working on all the rest of the motel deals (working on a second one for Daytona that is shorter length stay but more per day)

Do you have power if you don't rent a garage? My question is I have a 20' enclosed trailer which would be easier for me to work out of  since I have everything in it, then hauling everything into a garage.  Is the location where you can park trailers good or is it preferrable to have a garage?

Only guaranteed power is in the garages.

There are light poles around the perimeter (fence line) that have power at the base but they are not individual circuits and can trip the breaker due to over use. For the most part if you and your neighbors are running small things, like tire warmers only (no electric heaters, AC, fridges, compressors) power will be good. Also parking is not as you choose but as you come in you take the spot that is next available so it could be right next to a pole, or 50 feet away or depending on length of rig you may be in the center where there is no power (no power cords across fire lanes). We try to make it as easy for everyone that can work out of a trailer but on the same hand we also have to coordinate parking so space is not wasted nor blocking fire lanes.

As an FYI a 20' trailer will fit in front of a garage so you do not have to unload any more than you want to and may be able to share the garage space with 1 or 2 other riders while having the advantage of "own" power.

Thanks, is that the same for either the open air garages or the closed in ones?
