Hey everybody!

My name is Bryan and I live in Norfolk, VA with my wife and son. I've been riding for some time now, with a hiedus for the last three years due to Uncle Sam commitments. This will by my first year racing, so take 'er easy on me, okay?! When you see the black Dodge Ram with a black trailer and the Texas flag bikes (GSX-R 750 and 1K), come on over and say hi... if I'm not pulling my hair out trying to get ready for something, we'd love to shoot the s#!t for a while. When I find out what my number is, I'll let you know so you watch out for me! LOL   :lmao:

Well... I guess I already have my first question for you seasoned guys... I just bought the Kilo Gixxer and don't know what gearing to run at Daytona, what are most litre bikes taking? (No engine work, PCIII, full pipe, filter)

Welcome, I'm shawn, from chesapeake your going to do Daytona by looking at the other post you put up?  Don't think I'm making until Oct. bike still isn't ready yet, so the first one will be CMP. What are you running?

looking at running the 1K in unlimited supersport (maybe superbike too)

depending on my health, I may run the 750 in the heavy weights too... also depends on practice sessions and whether or not they're seperate from the unlimited class... the only reason I would want to run the 750 is for more track time

Any Daytona gearing tips for an essentially stock Gixxer 1K?

Hey Brian! I assume that you are a squid, erm a sailor (Marine here! OOHRAH!) Good luck with your races and especially at Daytona. I race MA as well so I will probably see you at most of the Summit and VIR rounds. As far as gearing goes for Daytona I would hit up the Team Hammer day and start with stock gearing as a starting pad and adjust from there. Always better doing that anyway, you'll know your bike a little better.

That's (2) devil pup's, well former Marine just a 8yrs stunt.

I cant help you with the gearing, but I will say welcome to the MA! Come by the RnR pits some time and say HI, I'll be the lone amature there.. LOL

I'd tell you my number too but it will probably be changing again this year.

Have fun!

Bryan, welcome bro, from another MA amateur with wife n kids.  Im in Md and will be heading down for Daytona as well.  I can offer advice as to  the effects of asphalt surfing in turn 1, and the flavor and composition of the current Daytona pavement.  Other n that, I'm on a gixxer6, but you'll have a blast opening that big boy up on the superstretch.  Thanks for serving bro.  I think you'll make some good friends, scare the crap out of yourself, and make the best memories. Don't worry, we'll take good care of ya, #220.
