I also am thinking that I might just do a few track days this year to try and re-establish my rythm and the fun of riding again.  I think part of my problem last year was that I was fighting against the bike - rather than getting comfortable and relaxing I was always under pressure trying to run a pace beyond my comfort zone.

Not to completely change subjects, Geroge, but I've got a school specifically for racers in those positions.  Maybe it wouldn't help, I can't make guarantees, but I try hard.

I want to run a Buell this year if I can figure out how to acquire one. I want to run Thunderbike, and Supertwins and ASRA Thunderbike..

I guess I will have to sell one of the zx6r before this year and find a XB. If anyone knows of one reasonably priced let me know!  :thumb:

I may just take you up on that Dave...  I'll shoot you an email and we can discuss the options offline.

last year was my first season racing and i learned a ton on my little sv 650 in lightweight and thunderbike.  this year ive got a 749 to race in middleweight and supertwins and cant wait until daytona as it will be my first time there.

In my personal Great Plains tradition I'll run the least competitive bike in it's class (it's a better excuse for going slow than my age) and bring my 748 out of it's retirement for Thunderbike (and of course, I'll still bring the old thumper, but my wife said that I'll have to use the rollers this year as she's had it with pushing!).

And please, everyone who's possibly going to run Thunderbike, please email Dean@Trackaddix.com and thank him for returning it to the schedule.

I am going back to the 600 classes for the first time since I came out of retirement 5 years ago. Gonna try to do some 600 hunting with a Duc.

That is awesome Arnie.  I look forward to having you back on the 600 grid!!

I picked up a 07 GSXR 600 to go with my white plates.  Jumping head first into the deep end of the pool!

I'm keeping the SV and may do some LWSS races.  Team MSB (Madisonsporbikes, Todd, Will, and myself) will also be running the SV in Team Challange for grins.

Looking forward to it!

I'd love to.  I made a good amount of money on the SV for pediatric cancer research in 2007...with stock forks and stock fuel injection.  If I could figure out a way that I could race it and get the same contingency again in 2008, I'd keep it.  It's a hard sell to myself, really.  But I'm just not a person of a lot of means.  I think I could do an eleven at Blackhawk on it on the right day.

What about you, Guy?  Steve's talkin'.  You have new carbon stuff for the year?

I am staying in lightweight.  I actually broke down and purchased a set of tire warmers and a Honda generator.  I will freshen up the SS bike, and put a freshly under cut transmission in it.  I was missing allot of shifts last year.  Can't complain much about the old one, I have four seasons on it.  I have installed a set of cartridges, and I am building a new CF gastank and ram air box.

The new super bike should make its appearance at the first blackhawk.  Lots of work to be done before that happens, but I am chiseling away at it.  I have made a fairing, gas tank and tail section for it (all but the upper faring is CF).   I am working the second revision of the ram air kit  coupled with some small areo dynamic changes for it right now.  I really hated making an upper and then cutting it up before I crashed it at least once, seems counter intuitive.  As time permits I have been turning and milling light weight parts for it.

I think I am going to run LW classes on my 2006 GSXR 750. We'll see how that goes and if I can beat Ed with it... Hopefully no one protests me!

Edgar - get a real LW bike and come out and play. You don't seem to be having so much fun the 600/750's you've been on lately.  Clayton
