In the UNGP race yesterday, Kurt and Nick Spooner came together in turn 3 and Nick went in the grass on the outside at a high rate of speed.  I was immediately behind them, and I'm not sure what happened, but I am sure that Kurt immediately turned his attention to Nick and to make sure Nick got back on track safely before continuing on.  I saw this with Kurt before in June at Hastings when he dropped his bike and rushed to aid a fallen rider.  Anyway, I think it is awesome and I aspire to be just like Kurt in this respect. :thumb:

Spooner

haha, yeah that was a helluva ride!  He was going around me on the outside of the harder kink and hit my bars/clutch lever which sent me flying off into the grass.  It was a total accident-finally one that didn't have my falling off!  He was very appologetic so no worries.  My superior dirt bike skills helped me keep it up at a hundred or whatever in the dirt...that or I was a lucky sumbitch...

How are you feeling, Jack?  I didn't even know you had crashed as I was busy getting the bike going again during the red flag.

Screw that, running Spooner off the track is awesome.  I just aspire to be as fast as Kurt.

Thanks fellas.. Jack, you might not feel the same it you saw the entire thing.  It was a bonehead pass on my part, especially when you consider the safest place to pass was the very next corner.  Luckily Nick was able to keep it on two wheels, with his superior dirt bike skills.   :thumb:

This time it worked out, but it was a very good reminder for me and hopefully others that this is just club racing.  I was so caught up trying to keep up with the leaders (that I couldn't have kept up with anyway) that I put myself and a friend in danger with an unnecessary risk.

Thanks to Nick for being a stand up guy.  I'm not for sure I or most people would've handled that so well.

Kurt, bonehead move or not, you showed a lot of class with your concern.

As far as me, I am in quite a bit of pain.  I can not get the swelling to go down on my arm eventhough I've had ice on it non-stop and had it above my heart the whole time.  I think the cast is wrong because my hand is twice as big as normal and purple.  I'm waiting for my Dr. to get to the office so I can go see him.  I'll let you all know how that goes.  Thanks to everyone for the concern and help, especially Dan's Mom who did not know me but took a few hours out of her life to take me to the hospital.  Dan, when you get a chance, can you please PM me your Moms information, I'd like to send her a thank you note.

No one has mentioned that they saw it.  If someone saw it, I'd love to know more because I don't remember much.  I do remember Dan putting on my shorts-that was somewhat strange(but thanks to Dan for that), and I think you were there, maybe your parents too?  I didn't tell any secrets or say anything stupid did I?

For a little bit you just kind of wandered around.  My mom was afraid you'd wander off.
