I just wanted to say what a great time I had at VIR this past weekend. It was really a great feeling being in the pits with those guys walking right by, not hesitating to talk to anyone or sign autographs. The whole paddock enviornment was very welcoming. On top of the great racing, it was an all around great family weekend. This is the first AMA race I have been to, but it felt just like a CCS weekend. Most of the racers provided the opportunity to meet them all, get pictures, etc. I think everyone can agree you can't get the same treatment at a Nascar race or something of the sort. I think that says alot about this sport and what a great family all of us are as racers!

Firefighter973, I know what ya mean bro, and that is why I always try to grant all of my fans full access to me, in fact at Barber, I had 3 of em surrounding me, that is until the power went out and they all stopped working ::).  Ah, the life of a roadracing backmarker.  But you bring up a good point bro, the roadracing family is what matters, and though I've only been as close to some of the heros as the tv screen allows me, it's good to know they remember their roots, and recognize how important it is, to use the time in the limelight to inspire and encourage others. I was in the gym awhile back when Nicky won the world championship and watched as he took the time to thank God, his family and friends...Awesome.  Lookin forward to seein ya at Shenandoah, Art.
