Careful Jim being there and seeing first hand what exactly happened has absolutely no baring on anything.    Make my dress polka dot please.   See you in a few.

so four and six is saying that supersport rolled out after superbike but the race was unrideable? and does dunlop pay to have a press release or is that a free plug ?

I think Jim feels the AMA did the best they could.

If Road Racing World feels the press release is relevant, they will post it.  No cost involved.

Anyone see what happened to Jason Farrell in the FX race?  Heard he went off in T2/T3 and re-entered in the keyhole, hitting another rider pretty hard.  No one went down, but was told it was a pretty good lick.

It is amazing that Matt was turning 1.24 times with the water in turn 1 that they are talking about. I was not there this year so I don't know what track was like but they were flying in that Superbike race.

The ama should have put together a novice 600cc race. The fans want carnage, then give them carnage. I would have gone out there in the rain and you wouldn't even had to pay me. Maybe that's the problem we pay to race, so it's rain or shine I'm getting my mony-s worth. They get paid to race, so they don't want to get injured and not collect that paycheck. ?????
I havn't been to Mid-Ohio, but I had to sit through this AMA cancelling crap at VIR, then a couple of weeks later CCS was there running a full schedule in the rain.

Yeah, not the best time or place to re-enter, could have been alot worse.  But it was one hell of a save.  LOL

Jasons initial save that put him off the track.

The re-entry part was for sure not the text book way to do it.  It gave me the WTF?  It makes for a good story with included tire marks and fork tube scrapes. LOL

Think the AMA guys are gonna say "Its all good" if they have to shorten warmup or the races?:lmao:
I don't know, do you think it's better to not race at all?

I've gotta say that was one scary ride for me and the other guy involved.
I honestly made a mistake in T2. I ran in there and the front tucked and natural reation would be to hold it up on a knee & whack the throttle open. But if you have ever raced there and have been through that turn you know what I mean when I say you have no choice but to stand it up after holding it up with your knee.
When I gathered it up I only had about 30-40 ft of  blacktop to grab the brake on until it turned grass. For a moment I was thinking oh shit I'm going down but that I was relieved when I saved it. Then a split second after I hit the grass I realized I wasn't going to slow down in time. Dragging the rear brake only felt like slowing down on oil and no way was I going to touch the front brake.
My natural instincts are to always keep trying until your down. Well even if I threw it down the bike would have kept going into the traffic in T3.
There was a single file line of riders going through T3 keyhole. Searching for a quick hole and I couldn't find one I got frantic thinking I was definately going to T-bone somebody. I could see my path going directly into a rider and I did everything I could to slow the bike down and make it as easily as possible. I tried sliding the rear end go with flow but I ended up hitting a guy t bone style.
I broke his frame slider off when we hit and smashed my fork tube & upper. Nothing really broke but it was one hell of a hit! Very loud & I thought I was going over the bars and or getting run over by another rider or 2! Luckily I used up another one of my 30 lives!

Sorry about the incident to the guy I hit but at the same time I realizied how dangerous the track really is. I mean I had no choice but to do what I did. Luckily nobody got hurt out of it all and we both finished the race. I fell way behind and tried coming back up but ran into overheating problems while drafting so I backed off & pushed my own air. So I settled for 25th.
