Wera Endurance and Challenge Nationals this past weekend at Summit Point was as always a blast.  The weather was brutal on Friday and Saturday.  Sunday it held out for a long time with temps about 10 degrees lower than expected however it did start to rain shortening the last race by only a couple of laps.  We had a couple of transports but nothing too major.  Initial reports are all riders are doing very well.  Personally I had one in the Chute on Friday during practice that was transported (broken clavicle last I heard) but was back at the track the next day.  I had another ambulance call on Saturday even though the rider was up he had a nasty gash that went through his glove into his hand.  Last I heard he went to Baltimore to see a hand specialist.

Saturdays endurance was one for both the riders and the workers.  95 plus degrees with next to no cloud cover and very few breezes blowing.  Team Vesrah took the overall (surprise, surprise) and was at least 7 laps ahead of the next competitor.  Always interesting during an endurance with lap traffic causing some interesting moments.  :ahhh:

Some great racing action was put on Sunday  :pop:.  The track record was broken on numerous occasions.  During one race the top 3 riders all broke it.  Tray Batey is the new overall track record holder but sadly I don't remember what it actually was.  I was getting the equipment truck in place at the end of the day when I heard he had broken it for the second time.

I'd like to say thanks to all that showed up, Safety, ASD's, Cafe Crew, Chaplains and all the workers both new and old, you guys rocked as always  :thumb:.  I was thrilled to actually be able to work a turn on Main for the first time this year.  Hope to see everyone at CCS Regional Sprints Aug 25th and 26th on the Shenny once again.
