Red Flag Fund For Injured Road Racers Raised Over $13,000 At Road America

Charity Auction, Merchandise Sales and Donations Raise Money and Awareness

Sussex, WI - As the sun set on a spectacular day of ASRA/CCS and MOTO-ST racing at beautiful Road America, the Red Flag Fund held its first charity auction.

The auction, donations and merchandise sales raised more than $13,000 over the weekend. The money generated will be used to operate the Red Flag Fund, which provides financial assistance to seriously injured motorcycle roadracers throughout the country.

"Our first Red Flag Fund Auction went very well. We had a crowd of around 200 people, bidding on over 140 items from almost 60 donors. People were generous with their bidding, and everyone seemed to enjoy the event," said Red Flag Fund President Jeffery Kufalk. "On behalf of the Red Flag Fund board of directors, I'd like to thank Buell Motorcycle Company, Road America, CCS/ASRA and MOTO-ST for their support of the auction and also Jen DeBuhr, Paul Onley and Jerry and Lois Kufalk for all their help on site."

Sounds like you had a good one Jeff. Congrats on that total for your first.

I'll try not to have a vacation scheduled for the next one so I can be there. I am still peeved about that conflict this year.

Thanks Gordy.  That means a lot coming from you, the man who has been in the shoes!

Still a long way to go, but there always will be areas for improvement.  Thanks for everything that you've done which made our initial success so great.
