i was in that race.  i came around when i saw the red and ambulance flags thrown.  there was a pretty big dust cloud but i saw that it was 2 white plates and 1 yellow.  don't remember the white plates' #s but i'm pretty sure the yellow was 366.

what i was told was that 2 of the bikes made contact and went down, and the 3rd had no place to go but right into the middle of it.

I was in turn 7, looked to me like the first of the three guy's had to check up a bit and move left to avoid a slower bike, the guy behind couldn't see this and ran into him. The third guy had nowhere to go and went down as he left the track. Hell of scary looking crash, took us a while to get everything cleaned up.

yes, as far as I remember I went to turn into 9 and my bike wouldn't lean over.5 min. later I woke up.and I just got home from the hospital a couple hours ago.well
I made a deal with my wife about me getting hurt and quitting racing, so I'd just like to thank the guy who thought it was a good idea to pass me(try)on the inside of 9.

I was pitted next to the guy who went under you and, of course, he tells a different tale. He said he got inside of you and you didn't see him. He said you turned hard and whacked him locking your bikes together. You guys went down and a bike behind you had no where to go but right into your crashed bikes.
Remember there are three sides to every story. His, your's, and the truth. I'm not judging, just giving a friendly reminder.

And what's wrong with an inside pass in 9?

Hollywood

Lt. wt. 29, if you are a red Duc and have custom leathers with a green 4 leaf on the back, I was told what happened. I passed you on the inside of 5 after trying to get around you for a lap and a half. I even showed you some wheels, but you made it pretty tough. I had to squeeze past down the hill on the left, I hope I didn't stand you up at all, I thought it was clean, I went inside the concrete.

There were a couple of people behind me, not stacked, but close. I was told that #366 (what looked like an white F2) was trying to go up the inside of you up 9, and that the ensuing crash collected an expert rider on a UltraLW as well. I caught the red flag and ambulance flag running out of 1 and into 3, and as we came down the hill from 4, the dust was still coming down(could have been from the crash truck and the ambulances though). As we rode through, there were 2 riders moving around and one not. We all got shown to the paddock after pit in, I went to my other bike, and the expert rider on the red (125?) bike came in, and he was pretty dusty looking. I was TOLD about the crash by someone behind you, the rest is what I saw happen, so if this version is way off, sorry in advance.

I hope you feel better. Crashing sucks, especially when it probably wasn't your fault.

i have been passed on the inside of 9 and have done my share of passing there as well.  for me it usually starts as an outside pass in 8 that sometimes turns into an inside pass in 9 depending on my drive and the drive of the passee.  it happens a lot and i don't see anything wrong with it, but of course ultimately it would be the passing rider's fault if there is contact.  i'm just saying it's not a dirty move, imo.

in the supertwins race there was contact right in front of me between 2 bikes where one was trying to make that same pass.  the other rider didn't see him and turned into the passer.  they stayed up but it was pretty scary to watch.  the rider that tried to make the pass apologized and everything was fine.

in any event, sorry about your wreck and i hope you feel better.

It is good that you made it home.  Were you injured at all or just knocked out? My race was over for the day and I was watching from the outside of 8-9 in the bleachers.  I am sorry that I could not see the exact cause of the incident. It looked to me like no one wanted to turn in.
And yes, the red 125 was in it also.  He managed to get his bike up, started and moving as his ambulance arrived.

I was rite behind you guys going through the carousel and you guys were looking pretty shakey going through there. In and out of each others wheels, the thought came to me "that pack is going to take each other out." That's when I backed off  and gave you all room to do so. Coming through nine I saw the Amature on the inside of you're back wheel as soon as you leaned in, he stood his bike up and drove you off track, the red 125 had no where to go and got caught up in the mess. Sorry for you're luck hope you feel better.

For future reference don't ever make a deal with the wife after whacking you're head, let the fuzziness clear up first!

Have you heard about behaving like a gentleman out there on the track? Rubbing is not racing-if you can not pass with out run over someone don't do it. The world will not end if they slow you do a bit, think about your actions because someone LIFE could end. Getting hit out there sucks my ankle took a hit at VIR because I guess I was in some dudes way. The guy doing the passing was wrong plus he has buddies who look out for him off the track. Hope you get better soon
