VIR gate fees

See the gate fees in the newsletter? $45 if you come on Thursday night and $35 on Fri night and $25 on Sat night? I guess that is new to charge extra to come in on Thursday night. The only good part is that it says camping is included, I guess we will see when we get to the gate. At the WERA races in March they added a $50 camping fee per vehicle on top of the gate fee which includded electricity. And people that camped in a tent they said had to pay a camping fee also plus electric.

I believe electric is included with that $45. VIR has plenty of power poles for everyone and the bathrooms are always spotless, even for us messy motorbike riders. :D

I don't think electric is covered in that fee.

Electric is always extra at VIR. They give you a special color wristband that you wrap around your power cord to show that you paid.

It is covered in that fee. They charge you automatically now because they got tired of people not paying for it.

Where did you get that info at? The June CCS mailer says specifically camping is included in those fees and electricity will be available for an extra fee from the  VIR officials at the gate. At the WERA races there was a camping fee of $50 per vehicle that included electric.

Rider & Crew Gate Passes: (Cash Only)
Thurs.-Sun.: $45 (includes camping but not electric)
Fri.-Sun.: $35
Sat.-Sun.: $25
Sunday only: $15

I'm just sayin... you gonna believe the CCS Web site's data, whenever it was last updated, VS. a quick call to VIR to find out the real deal?

well i'm at VIR and the fees are outragous.  35 to get in the gate per person. 50 for camping which includes your electric.  So i've spent $120  for just myself and the misses.   What a rip off

Yeah, I wonder how they charge camping. I just paid 85 for myself and camping but my girlfriend is coming up tomorrow with a car. Wonder if she'll have to pay $50 too because she has a vehicle?

I asked about what was stated on the CCS site about $45 and that including camping.....I got looked at like I had 3 eyes. :)
