Where would rider "A" finish???

My 7 year old was watching "Faster" with me last night posed a question I wasn't sure of the answer of. What made him put so much thought into it, I have no clue. But here you guys go.

Tow riders are heading for the checkered flag (rider A in first, B in second place) and rider A has a tank slapper and wrecks. Rider A's motorcycle crosses the finish line, Rider B crosses the finish line, then rider A slides across the finish line.

Does rider A win 1st or 2nd place? Or is rider A scored as finishing at all?

In CCS the transponder is mounter to the bike.  There are no rules stating that you have to be on the bike to win.  So as far as CCS would be concerned, Rider A won.

SOOOooo theoretically...If the transponder assigned to ME is on MY bike... and  MY bike goes over the finish line first ( whether I am on it or not ) I win....

Dan...next time you use my bike racing...we leave my numbers and my transponder on it! You can have the points and I get the trophy  ( fair enough?)

The rider bike are a unit, if separated they do not count any longer and would be a dnf I believe, haven't read the FIM rules in a while tho.
