Gearing Suggestions for Summit and Roebling

Before people start saying they don't want to give away their gearing secrets, let me just say that I'm not looking for specific gearing suggestions.  I'm on a 2004 GSXR 600, so if you have suggestions, throw them out there.  But, what I really want to know, is how each of these tracks compare in speed (especially top speed) to VIR and to a lesser extent CMP.

From what I can find it looks like Summit gearing should be very similar to VIR b/c the front straights are about the same length.  Am I right in this assumption?  And how does Roebling compare to VIR, Summit, and/or CMP?  I've always heard it was a very fast track, but the straight there is actually shorter than both Summit and VIR.

If you guys can tell me how the 4 tracks compare to each other in terms of top speed and gearing needed I would appreciate the help.  Thanks.

I can only speak for summit and vir on my 05 honda 600. pretty much geared the same, I use a 15/44. Suspension you are on your own, summit point is a nightmare for me with all the bumps and slick spots.

Joel, at Summit its almost the same as at VIR. I was finding that I was a tad too tall on the front straight so maybe one tooth taller than what you run at VIR should get you through the day. Try it and let me know how it works out.

The tracks are similar but I generally drop a tooth when I go to VIR.  I've never raced it on a gsxr but if I'm motoring and get a good drive out of the last turn, if I use the same gearing as Summit, I can hit the rev limiter in the kink (as the bike turns your rpms will jump 500 rpms-ish) and I can bounce.  If I'm slightly off pace it won't happen.

Although completely different tracks, I run the same gearing at VIR as I do Summit Main.

BTW:  you going to be at Summit this weekend?  Lok for me.  I'll be near Pit-in near T10.  It will be good to see you again!!
