Just received my Alpinestars RC-1 suit in Black/White/Grey color scheme.  Initial impressions are great.  The suit seems very well built, decent weight (not too heavy, not cheap), nice colors, decent fit.  I've got a weird body, don't we all though, so I should have a 44 top but a 42 bottom.  Best I could do is fit in a 44 when going with a one piece.  The leather is soft and feels already broken in.  Took the suit for a test ride and it feels very comftorable.  No tight or sore spots, feels very fit and flexible.  I can't give it a score out of 10, because I really haven't had time to review, these are just my initial feelings.  Not crash tested.  I'll be out on the track the 7th and 14th of April, so I'll be able to post up a better review then.  Here are some pics.

Update with a little bit of an action pic.  The suit is very comfortable.  As I ride I can't tell I'm in full race get-up.

Just received the same suit, just in blue/black/white color scheme. Tried it on, fit nice. I haven't had the chance to ride with it on yet, but it felt very comfortable sitting on the bike. The only issue I've had with it is the speed hump they put in the thing. I felt it digging in my shoulder blades, and thought maybe it just needed to be broken in. After a while I decided to see what the deal was. It almost felt like they put a piece of cardboard or something in there for shipping. When i got into it I discovered that they had some sort of....foam/cardboard mixture material in there. I wasn't too crazy about it considering it was shaped for the outside of the hump with airspace in the middle. I went ahead and put a solid foam piece to replace the other thing that they put in there, very uncomfortable on the back. I'm not sure when or why they started putting those pieces in there, but I know that was not gona work for me on the track. Other than that, suit is nice, and looks good!

P.S. Size 44? You make me feel fat, I fit in a freakin 56....? Maybe we're looking off two different size charts or something.

44 US, I think thats a 54 Euro.  I'm about 5'9" and about 155lbs.

Looking good, PolishPete! :)
I'm interested of buying the RC-1 2-piece, and was wandering - how well is the suit perforated ? can you maybe take a picture of the suit perforation and ventilation?

About the sizing - Isn't 44 too big for you? I'm 6' tall, and 170lbs, and the official A*stars charts puts me in 52 Euro (42 US)! are you sure about fit? :)
Oh and .. go repsol !

I've got the Astars SMX suit, bought 2 years ago and I bought based on the Astars size chart. I am 6' and 180 pounds and a 44/54 fits me well without my back protector but gets  real tight with it. When I got down to 170 last year the suit fit great with the back protector.

Well I'm a little guy, but I'm disproportionate.  I work-out...so I have a bigger upperbody, although I only weigh 155lbs or so.  Also, my hands are really big (XL SP1 gloves feel too tight), my feet are really big (11 size shoe), and my arms are long too.  After trying suits on at a local dealer, the 44 was the one that fit best, although I had to have my bottom half a little loose.  With full gear, boots, gloves, and back protector, the entire suit fits like a glove.

Well, I guess it's all depends on the proportions..

What about the venting/perforations? And do you happened to know if the 2-pc is vented/perforated as the 1-pc?
