I got to meet K3 today,he was assisting as a mechanic for Jeff Perk(unsure of name) ,after his initial employer had some difficulty getting on the grid and really enjoyed getting many (in garage) pics of the fastest folks at the 200 ! I will get them to the site, in the next couple of days, they are good! The supercross was excellent,James Stewart has two modes ,fast as hell and way too fast! Had some great alligator watch airboat pics from Friday afternoon but emptied the camera when i was able to get into (closeup) garages! You will get them as fast as i can get them to the right places! STEVE RAPP kicked ass after duhamel and teamate both broke down early- around 10 laps before midway - Its late - will work on pics in am-

uh, yeah....  Purk definitely tested me in the hours before the 200.  Let's just say that you know you're having a bad day when they're singing the National Anthem, and you're pulling the oil pan OFF!  We got the bike into the show with about 1 minute to spare before the green flag, but Jeff fell down about 10 laps from the finish, probably in his own oil. :wah:  Hey, we outlasted the factory Hondas, right?
Sadly, there's only so much you can do with damaged gaskets and silicone when there's zero time for the sealer to set up.  Still, it was one hell of an effort, easily the most frantic thrash I've ever been involved with, and we got the bike into the show with seconds to spare.
Daytona 200 crew chief.  Scratch that one off the list of  things I've wanted to accomplish before I die! :cheers:
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Sounds like some big odds were there against ya- i use new gaskets where available ::)- guess they weren't an option,just kiddin,I know a fresh one would have been chosen if available- DAYM Daytona can surely wreak   :spank:havoc in good mens souls,give promise  ::)to some good mens futures and make some real  :thumb:heroes. What a mutifaceted career defining sumna bitchin race it is! Loaded all pics into photobucket late last nite and will enjoy the last bit of beach today, then git to loading some great garage pics up friday while it pours down rain all day,then home again!
