Team Hammer Trackride at Daytona this Thursday

I just got off the phone with someone at Team Hammer and I asked them if they had a lot of people sign up for Thursday.  She said, "oh yeah, I think we have about 200"

  For a trackday????   I hope that isn't the correct number, otherwise we are looking at on hell of a busy crowded track.

It's a big track, everyone needs practice (it's a bit more that "just a track day"), and it costs a lot to rent.  I'm sure there will be even more entries among the various sessions.

yeah, I understand.  It just seemed like a pretty big number!  either way, I'm just looking to getting out there!

I think it's an up year for racing, so there are going to be good size entries at Daytona.  I don't think it will be like the early 90's when 105 guys were trying to qualify for 80 spots in Supersport or anything...

Your first time at Daytona?

yeah, first time!  Been working on the bike all winter getting it ready to go!  just a couple days left!!!

It's a big place.  It's not the coolest race track in the world or anything, but it is Daytona International Speedway. It will make more sense when you get in.

I'm one of the trackday folks back again after taking the school in October.  No, it's not the coolest.  It's not like VIR or anything but it's DAYTONA!  Hats off to anybody racing on it.  Turn one continually baffled me after being lead through time and again. 

It baffled Duhamel last year too so I don't feel so bad!

the lady I talked with said that if you can get there on wednesday between 3-5 they will be doing some sign ups.
