Just curious as to whether anyone has been following some of the threads on the WERA board or on roadracingworld.com regarding Powerstands and Pit Bull?  The links are http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=27852  and  http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=128961&highlight=powerstands .

I don't spend as much time on the boards as a lot of my friends but I'm curious about what everyone's opinion may be on this given that PowerStands appears already filled in on the CCS contingency forms.

Just to make my position clear, this will be my 7th season using Pit Bull stands.  They're also the only stands that I've ever sold at my shop.  That being said, I'm a big believer in competition but not in ripping off someones ideas and creations.

Big supporter of Pit Bull as well.

And one of the vendors on the WERA board offered to sell Pit Bulls at Powerstands pricing to anybody considering Powerstands just to support Pit Bull. I believe it was actually a loss for that vendor to sell at that price.

I support Pit Bull.  The last 3 years they have been on time paying certs for their products.  I hear that Power Stands will only let you use $100 worth of certs per product, where as Pit Bull lets you use as much as you want.

I would like to tell a story about what Pit-Bull has to offer over other companies I have dealt with in the past.  I took advantage of a sale offered by on2racing to purchase two Pit-Bull stands using my 2006 contingency earnings and some cash to make up the difference in cost.   After about 6 weeks went by, I had not received the stands.  I began to wonder what was taking so long for my order to be delivered.  I called on2racing to find out the details on the order.  Jason (who I am assuming owns on2racing) assured me that the reason for the delay was a backorder or lack of inventory at Pit Bull.  I figured that these things happen, I should just be patient and everything will be ok.  About every week or so, I contacted Jason at on2racing, who always seemed to have some reason for the stands not arriving.  After 4 of these conversations Jason suddenly stopped replying to my E-mails or returning my calls.  I decided to do a little investigating to see if Jason was being honest with me.  I called Pit-Bull directly, and inquired about their inventory over the last 3 months, and informed Pit-Bull as to why I was inquiring.  Cathy of Pit-Bull, assured me that they have had no stock issues and was very troubled by the damage that on2racing was doing to Pit-Bull's reputation.  Cathy looked up the contingency voucher numbers that I had sent to on2racing to see if they had been consumed.  Sure enough 3 of the 4 had been used on an order placed by on2racing.  I was of course in a state of distress realizing that chances were real good that I was not going to receive my stands from on2racing.  Cathy sensed my disenchantment with the whole mess and stated that she would talk with Charley (who I am assuming owns or manages Pit-Bull) to see what they could do to help me out.  There response was overwhelming!!!  They honored all of the certificates that I had earned and sent the stands I ordered immediately, the stands were delivered in 4 days!!!!

The things that Pit-Bull have to offer is: Customer service and integrity.  They have won a customer for life!  I will gladly spend a little extra to know that I am receiving a high quality product from a company that is 100% willing to stand behind, not only their products, but their company's reputation.  In my opinion the world would be a much better place if every company had the same values as those of Pit-Bull.  Pit-Bull is a class act that Jason of on2racing could never dream of following.

Pit Bull is good people.  Charlie is the owner/designer and also is a racer and has been for years.

I've been happy with Woodcraft products, but I can appreciate Pit Bull's presence in the market place as a supplier of good products.

I think in the overall scheme of things, most racers are pretty loyal to the people that put out good products.  On the other side, there are some sements of the market that only focus on price for cheap, virtually cosmetic duplicates of the good products.

The beauty of Woodcraft is that they are competition to Pitbull, and vice versa.  Competition is good when parties have their own products/strategies and don't openly abuse each other...
