Well, that was just awesome.  CCS staff and racers really turned up in droves.  Estimate was well over 200 people.  It was like a Saturday night at Blackhawk, except everybody was wearing nicer clothes.  You could really sense the love in the room.  Steve Hopkins did a moving tribute.
It suck for us that we lost Bill.  But being at that service and hearing all the great things people said about him, hearing the stories....  The guy gave his all to the people he loved, and through his goodness and willingness to work he got to do some really amazing stuff.  What a great life he had!
A tragic death is one that comes after a life that has been squandered.  No worries there for Bill.  The guy did it all, and did it well.  All he really missed out on was the chance to do it more.  Godspeed, Bill.  We're really going to miss you.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Yep...  Standing room only.  I was really moved by the turnout and the eulogy was great.

We love you Bill & Claudia...
