I really appreciated that they threw us all out after 5:00 PM.  I've never seen that at any other track in the nation.

Road America used to kick everyone out at 6pm. About 1996 they started letting competitors stay as late as they wanted. Couple years later they started to have camping.

Now that you mention it, I remember dealing with that when my dad raced cars from the 60's to the early 80's.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

If you still see your ex, thank her for putting you in the position where you had to sell me those PD tire warmers.  They've held up wonderfully and still work like new.... :kicknuts:

LOL... yeah, lucky for you I decided to divorce her AFTER I sold all my stuff... 2 years later and I'm still trying to put it all back together.

I spoke with a guy, Money is his name, at Daytona who told me that tent camping in the infield was about 15 dollars a night, no hook ups, no trailers or RV's etc. The showers are numerous so I guess a tent will be my upgrade from the tow mustang.

When all else fails there's always the parking lot at Wal-Mart.

From what I know they have a standing policy of allowing RV's to overnight with no hassles.  Unless they have a different policy in Florida than they do in the rest of the country.

Then again if you showup in an RV that looks like K3's there might be a problem. :kissy:

Has anyone inquired as to a difference in price if your a competitor and don't need the 2 'Nextel Fan Zone' tickets that are included with the space rental? It states that extra tickets are available for $175 EACH, so they must represent a substantial portion of the space rental fee, I wonder if they will rent those same spaces without the Nextel Fan Zone tickets?

Tommy I must say you definitely hit the nail on the head! :thumb:

I heard a rumor that K3 was a stunt double for Chris Farley in 'Tommy Boy' and that some of the driving scene incidents were based on K3's real life experiences! :lmao:
