I really appreciated that they threw us all out after 5:00 PM.  I've never seen that at any other track in the nation.  I'd blown a motor, so I had to haul my bike out of there and rebuild it somewhere else.  (Thank you American Motorcycle Institute!)  Just what I needed to add difficulty to a day that was already going from bad to worse.  At least Rhiannon loaned me her little trailer so I could leave our rig set up at our site.
Do you think they kick the NASCAR boys out if they have to put in a late night working on the car?  I doubt it....
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

You go by yourself dontha Cardzilla? Are you expecting your wife to sleep in the car with you? Oh I forgot. :D

Any woman not willing to suck it up for the sake of her man's racing effort isn't worth having , my gf actually finds a way to make it hospitable... brewing coffee in the morning, etc.  I guess that's one of those "changes" that happen when the ring goes on the finger LOL.

I've seen AMA factory superbikes in mini vans leaving the track to be worked on.

I've usually stayed in the movie theater parking lot near Home Depot or across the street in the Best Buy parking lot.

All about perspective, I guess.

LOL!  No...

But they have enough paying spectators and big entry fees to pay for the security and insurance costs.

Didn't you go through a miserable divorce a year or two ago?

Not at all... the marriage was the miserable part  :lmao:  And I stand by my statement... I'm sure you know the value of a good woman

But that is my point... my ex was not a team player... and it got worse with that damn ring.  It's all about perspective and I've gained that from the current gf.  If you think it's miserable camping out then it will be, if you make the best of it you can actually enjoy yourself.

If you still see your ex, thank her for putting you in the position where you had to sell me those PD tire warmers.  They've held up wonderfully and still work like new.... :kicknuts:

And this is where I stayed for the ROC and trust me, it was not $600.  I have no intentions of staying through March 10th, thats where they are gettin people.

Sv814,

You are missing the point. At ROC camping was for 4 days. During bikeweek in March camping is for 11 days. Thursday through the following Sunday. They don't care if you are only going to be there for 4 days, you will still have to pay for 11 days.

Nah, I got the point.  It's rediculous.  Why would they even do that.

camping is soo freaking expensive!
I dont want to stay at the track for 11 days. I know some people that will, but not me. I'm going to stay at a campground down the road.

It could be worse, $2750.00 for Speedweek. I don't see anything in the notes about splitting the spot. I'm sure they're are some people just coming for the AMA that would be happy to takeover your spot and split the cost. CCS camper out and then AMA camper into the same lot.  If they say anything just tell them you had to rent a different RV for the AMA event.
