Just gettin some info together for a friend who is thinkin about offering a Racer oriented travel package to a tropical island perhaps during our off months.  Would include bikes, hotel, but you would most likely need to find own air fare.  Package would be in the likes of  ~$1200ish....Something to bring the wife/girlfriend/mistress or all three on.     Would something like this be of intrest to anyone???

Vacation?
Whats that?

I save all winter, just to try and afford the racing season.
$1200... Man that's 4 sets of tires!

Kewl Idea, but not realistic for the likes of me.

i have a hard enough time pulling myself away from work, contracts, and other bznes to make it to the track. my time is too limited to burn it up through the winter.
good idea though, if i found the time i would do it. just not likely

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

I got an invite for a special trackday at Philips Island 2 yrs ago. Only would had costed around $6000 with everything (Honda 600RR's and be out there playing with the top Aussie racers, Bayliss, Corser, Rainey, McCoy and a few more). Some special promotion I couldnt remember how I got on their mailing list. If I had teh cash, damn straight skippy I would had went.

Hey MJ - you might want to provide a few more details re what your friend has in mind.  For a start, there aren't that many islands around that have race tracks - and even fewer that have tracks and are tropical.

Philipp Island (not very tropical)
Isle of Man (ditto)
Hawaii??? Are there racetracks there? Hey - why doesn't CCS have the nationals there one year!
Fiji? Sri Lanka? Sicily?  Somewhere in the Greek Isles?

I am having a hard time getting my mind around what he's got in mind.  Dirt biking/offroading, tho, I can see.  Costa Rica has some great bike tours ready made, as does Mexico, and other parts of Central/South America.  That would be a blast.

How much just for the mistresses?

Stick to motorcycles,

They are cheaper...
Less likely to Highside you, when your wife walks into the room...
And Motorcycles don't require cuddling... (thats completely up to you)

It would be a roadracing track of course. Yep, bikes would be included.  Track is in the Dominican.  Hotel would be all inclusive also, with a cheaper option for the "basic" style.  Bikes would most likely be 600's...  Still gettin ideas and options together.

What about an escort?  Can we get escorts?

Seriously, it's a cool idea, but not very specific.  There are a lot of factors there.
