So i've been thinking if someone had ever invented an alarm clock that studies your sleep cycle and arouses you when you are in the lightest sleep stage so that you aren't "groggy" or still feel tired. I did some google searchs and came across these links. They are all nice but cost soo much, $200-$400.... let me know what you think or if you know of any cheaper effective ones.

Super Dave

I know there are clocks that turn on a light slowly to help you wake up without so much fanfare.  Save the money.  You get older, and you just wake up regardless of when you went to bed.

one of the guys who works for me has sleep problems and bought a watch that does exactly what you're speaking of.  It was a couple hundred bucks.  It just isn't loud enough to wake him up consistently when it goes off at his lightest sleep point.  And when it doesn't wake you up, it can shut off all together.

I'll try to get information from him on it.

I think this link, the 2nd one in my 1st post, http://www.engadget.com/2006/01/23/axbo-alarm-clock-wakes-you-when-youre-ready/ is the big brother of the wrist watch. This is like a standard bedside alarmclock but you wear a wrist band sensor-radio transmitter.

wayyyy too much money
