So has it been decided what configuration we are running yet? I thought I read something about using the original 3.56 mile course, but there was some mention about using a modified West Horseshoe that uses some of the new course, just curious?

Figured it was close enough to start weather predictions for the ROC as well.

According to weather.com it's looking like lows in the 60's with high's in the low to mid 80's! Also looking like decent weather with a slight chance of rain before the weekend.  :thumb:

Old layout but using the new pavement for the west horshoe.  Should be a pretty fun turn run in reverse, since I think it should open up quite nicely on the exit.

Barnes and Ed Sorbo tested for Moto-ST and ran both the old horseshoe and the updated AMA pavement and I was told it was decided the original west horseshoe would be used.

I would guess it (the updated AMA pavement) was too tight for the entry and also the exit may have been a concern with a "kink" to get back on the shute to the barrel turn.

I should know this, but someone told me that we don't run Daytona if it's raining.  I'm trying to make space packing, do I need my rain tires or is this not true??

Bring your rain tires and be sure not to be on the brakes going across the paint into turn 1 off the banking.  If you forget, you will learn VERY quickly.  Weather forecast looks good, figures since I bought a new set of rain tires for the event.
