I am entered. Should be a great race in the LW class. Yellow plated sandbaggers....? :blahblah: Starten to sound like an episode of Pinks.

Ok Suzie, I'm done, but come next year, those plates had better be white!

I'll be there for sure.  I want to do both shootouts (mw+lw) but having no time between it looks like I will just have to choose one.

Hey punk (anthony) I sent you an email, wheres my answer. ha, but anyway, dont worry about it, 15 percent is a lot :thumb:. By the way, hows the pavement at MAM, barber smooth? blackhawk smooth? gateway smooth? trying to decide what forks to put on, also how about gearing? that back straight away looks long.

It's mostly smooth with a few "problem" areas (turn 3, turn 4, turn 14), and like was mentioned previously a couple dips (turn 10, turn 12).  Most people I know run 15/44 on SV's there.

What ever you say Jackie. With the classes being put together I now have no reason not to win the overall like at gateway where it wasnt worth ruining spooners and the other experts race to stuff them. Now all I need to do is drop 30 lbs and about 6 inches so I can actually pass spooner on the straightaway :thumb: Anyway I still have one more year of AM. plates :lmao:

So anyway, about the track, is it difficult to learn. i.e. blind corners? not alot of visual/mental markers on the pavement? Being out in a cornfield im hoping my sight lines will be open the place looks flat as a pancake. And 15/44 wow, sounds tall I havent taken the 14 tooth sprocket off in a while.

Bring it Sally:)

I'll be there, with Rich and Nick trying to stay ahead of the Worlds Fastest Group of Yellow Plated Sandbaggers!  Oh, BTW, No exp. or am. for the Shootout, we're just racers........ Yeah baby!

Anyway, will there be a Michelin man at the track. I do not feel like changing my own tires or paying some one else to do it. Plus I may need a new rear tire for the shoot out :thumb:

Not real difficult learn, T3 gets a few first timer visiters just remember it's decreasing radius. The pit-in is not in the best spot so keep your eye's open there.  Yes it is flat as a pancake

Ben, don't make me come up there.  :ass:

Wow!  Lots of lightweight smack talk.  I think you are making my decision for me as to which one to run!

I haven't been to MAM with the SV running any where near correctly and now its stomping out 65 bad ass horsepower so I feel I am up for the fight

I think the bigger question is who can last for 20 laps...  I know I have been hitting the treadmill more lately lol!  :thumb:

Oh, Ben-if you can't get past me on the straight at Gateway then you will have BIG problems at MAM lol!!

Hope you can give us a run for our money!

I just talked to Tom Mason(Michelin), he will be at MAM, but he is getting a little short on tires since it is the end of the season.  He suggested people wanting tires should contact him to make sure he has what they need and to ensure he gets them to the track.  His number is 612-250-9122.

Ha, im just messing with you guys. Ive never seen the track before so I will just be doing my best to learn it. And yeah 20 laps will be work. We ran the national endurance with WERA at Barber and 40 mins was about my limit on going fast. I could settle in and keep going but a 20 lap sprint race should be interesting.

As far as passing on the straights go, if you havent noticed, I am not exactly built for straightaway speed niether is my motorcycle. But hey theres more corners than straighaways right. But i have something up my sleave to get me a few more horsepower, not to mention I may finally buck up and buy/sniff some VP.

Ohh yeah and KC, bring it.
