Hell yeah!  That reads like the menu in my Ipod!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Even though I have dreadlocks, I'm not a hippy, and hate jam bands.

On the other hand, I'll see your Primal Scream, Verve, Beasties, Waits, Moby, and Rollins Band...
and raise you a Shellac, The Ex, Couch Flambeau, The Jesus Lizard, Motörhead, Sixteen Horsepower, and The Magnetic Fields.

...and for some reason I've been listening to nothing but The Postal Service/Death Cab for Cutie for the past two days.

Yeah, fan of plenty Sub Pop bands - The Shins, A-Frames, Hot Hot Heat, Sebadoh, etc. but a bigger fan of bands on Touch and Go/Quarterstick. While y'all are racing at Autobahn, I'll be at the Hideout block party/Touch and Go 25th Anniversary party in Chicago. (Big Black (which became Shellac) and Scratch Acid (which became The Jesus Lizard) are playing - first time in 20 years for both) I've got about half of their catalog, and love most of their bands. Their owner also used to race vintage bikes (to bring this back around to being about bikes) and is a really, really great guy. My taste in music is unfortunately stuck in the late 90's post-punk era, which doesn't allow for a lot of newer, more popular stuff, but I'm working on it.

Try the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or for some local Milwaukee flavor look for Call Me Lightning. My ex just mastered their new record, and they're quite good. For something mellow and haunting, The Frames (different than the A-Frames) are an Irish band, are one of my all time favorites - although they're a little more folky sometimes than rocking. Lots of tension-release, and their lead guy is a super charming showman.

Damn, that party looks like fun...hmmmmmm, road trip from the 'bahn maybe...
