we do that every winter.  Granted, we're on dirt bikes, but we have more fun!

You haven't lived until you've looped a 450 on glare freaking ice both forward and backwards...  And then busted your ass 5x trying to pick the thing up because it's too slippery to stand!

But I want to put studs on my 636!

Jeff

only because you've never been on a 450 4-stroke on the ice...  Get on one and you will find a striking similarity between how it handles compared to how a middleweight bike handles on hot pavement.

When Rhiannon had her FZR 400, she got a set of tires from Tom Mason, and he showed her how to stud 'em up. Took that out and everyone who was ice riding just had to try the fizzer on the ice! Also, ice riding helps you train for roadracing.

If you're in the area, keep checking this site for info on riding in the Wisc/IL area

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Ice riding rocks!  We did it this past winter up by Lake Winnebago with a bunch of TTR125's and YZ80's studded up.  I'm thinking of studding up a kx250 or maybe something a little smaller for this winters ice riding.

I have a NEW set of ice tires (professionally built by Stu - lemon pie productions) from my CRF-150.  They have about 20 mins on them.  Liners in the tires, wraps, incl.  $375.

The CRF-150's are a blast on the ice....
