with the news that Aaron Yates is looking for a ride, and Geoff May's great riding ... who else is in favor of some grass roots support for moving Geoff up to a factory ride.

I recall 2 yrs ago when he finished 5th in SB, and no ride was forthcoming, there was a swell of support on this BB that he deserved a ride and Mr. Ulrich (perhaps) listened.

He's a great racer, and I did a track day with him 1 on 1 a couple years ago ... great, great person too, one that deserves good breaks in life.

How about a DRAFT MAY movement for Yoshimura Suz?

Yeah, I like the kid.  He did a hell of a job and man, he went back and forth for 1st with the 2003 and 2006 AMA SS Champion.!!!  How can Suzuki say no

Where do we send the mail?              Talking to the guy one on one at RAm he's a keeper. Suzuki NA? I know it's gotta go to somewhere in Cali, right?

AMEN to that.  I've been saying it for a few years now.  I think he's the most deserving guy out there.

Interesting.

But there is now a big relationship between Ulrich's team, Pirelli, and May.  Given May's position on the track on John's bikes...American Suzuki might be happy to pay him to stay put.  I'm sure Pirelli might pay to keep him on Pirelli's.  We'll have to wait and see.

If you beat the factory guys on a support team you're a hero, if you leave the support team for a factory ride and don't get the same results you're out of a job.

Good point, but he deserves the shot!  Let's face it, he would have won a few times this year if his tires would have lasted!  I know Hacking wasn't riding 110% this past weekend, but Geoff still ran like the pro he is.  He deserves the spot that Yates is about to open up.  :D

Word Around the campfire is that Pirelli will have a tire for the top guys that will go the distance too for 2007

Well, every manufacturer promises that.  Nothing happens in a vacuum.
