Put a slipper on early in the year.  Bike seems to run great and it seems to be working because I don't really notice any issues when I bang a couple of gears and let out the clutch.

But for the life of me I can't seem to find anything on the net or anywhere that discusses adjustments and setups.  Am I just crazy thinking that there is an adjustment option?

Mainly just wondering as with most everything else mechanical it needs adjusted at some point.

There's nothing to adjust.  It's springs.  If you want to, put in a lighter or heavier spring to control how quick the slip engages, but that's about it.

Check your plates OFTEN...  Like every 2-3 weekends.

Hey Jeff -Does a lighter spring let the downshift occur sooner?Just wondering..Do i have to go to suzy dealer to get spring rate options for my sv700? TIA

Jeff

you downshift when you downshift.  A lighter spring would allow the plates to slip more, so effectively you could downshift earlier.

As for where to get springs, I don't know.  Depending on the clutch you might be able to get them from the mfr.  Otherwise, measure the spring rate and size, and find something slightly lighter.  The maint manual should have the spring rates in it.
