So, here's my idea...

We pick up a brand spanking new Honda EU-2000 genny (hopefully on a donation or other severely discounted rate) and then hold a contest...

$25 per entry (or maybe we'd need more...)

Nosiest, most annoying generator wins the new EU-2000!

Rules - Genset MUST provide power (hook up a light or something)

The winner's genset will be drained of oil, started back up and let to run until dead.

Sounds good, but be sure to run by Gordy. I'm sure he'd be all for that!

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Jeff

There would be many details to work out on it...
1.  Get the generator
2.  Ensure it is profitable for the wegman fund

Can I cheat by removing so much material and everything that possibly baffles sound on mine???  ;D ;D

That wouldn't be cheating, it would be encouraged!  Megaphone exhausts would also work well.

If G-Reg could get his moto-gp style RC51 to produce stable AC power, I'm pretty sure he could win!  And it would be a good trade off too to blow that sucker up in exchange for a new genset.  LOL...

Make it a 3000 watt generator and I just might do it..  ;D

Actually make it a Kawasaki Generator and I'm all for it.

Hmm. Trick is, if you use a big motor, you have to load it up well to make noise. So putting a tiny gen on a big motor won't work. Makes it interesting. I like the idea! Would we do it actually by decibel level or what?

Dunno...  Could be done by decibel or by popular vote for most annoying...  It's not always about the amount of noise, but sometimes the type of noise...

How about one powered by a 88TC HD motor with open pipes at 5000rpm? ;D
