Our wind generator came today.  Paul will take some time to refurbish it before it goes up.









Paul is 6'4"  this will give a person and idea of how long the blades are...



The one thing that I find humorous is that the large number of granite rocks that can be found in this area are a pain to those who live here and like gold to those who don't.  Since we got the tower shipped for free, we let them load up a few to take home.

Well why didn't you say something years ago?  I'd have made the trip up for that!

When the Buxton Wind Generator gets an erection, it's pretty much a non-event.... ;D  But I suppose you could film it with a micro lens!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

You can rent them for $25.00 an hour (any size you want).  Needless to say, we got our money's worth out of it this weekend.  We have 7+ hours on the clock.

Dawn you are not going to believe this!!!   On my ride back from Shawano at a motard trackday I had up there me and my GF seen a semi with those types of rocks on it!!!!!  Was that truck out on the road this weekend delivering those rocks.  Holy sh!t this is a small world.
