Can we camp at track Thursday night after NESBA and will Siebkens be open at all? I see we now do Thurs reg at the track...TIA

Eric Kelcher

Yes NESBA will be clearing out after their track day.  4 mile merchant will be selling camping passes. You will be able to enter the track after going through reistration, so if you are wanting to camp get there early to get passes to enter track. Siebkens better be open (99% percent sure)after what Thursday normally is I will need it.

Eric, what about those of us who are doing the NESBA day?

Will we need to clear the paddock, then re-enter...or will we be able to stay in our spot?

Thanks

CCS will probably respond here, but you should plan on packing up.  I don't know whether they will make you clear the paddock or not, but my guess will be 'yes'.

When the events change hands, there is a shift in responsibility, insurance, etc.  CCS cannot accurately and adequately control this while there are pits still setup.

Sooooo, I can't just ride my pit bike up to the gate and register?

I have to literally pack everything up, drive outside, turn around and drive back in? Was that the ACC scenario?!

That was the autobahn scenario.  I don't know if that's going to be the case for Road A, but you should either find out first, or simply plan on it.

The bottom line is that as long as racers, crew, friends, family, others continue to sneak in or remain inside a track (such as following a track day) without paying or MORE IMPORTANTLY, signing the waivers, you can expect to see things like this.

It's all in the matter of responsibility on the behalf of CCS.

When someone who is inside the track without a waiver gets hurt and then SUES, CCS has to have a good story to tell.  And when they look at the judge and say "well, no, we just expected everyone to be honest", it doesn't go over real well.

Now, before you say how 'far fetched' this scenario is, I would advise you to talk to Kevin about it.  It is real and it happens far more frequently than you might think.

Again, the actions of few affect the many.

Wanna change it?  The next time you see someone without a wrist band, call them on it.  Or contact an official.

AGAIN THOUGH, I do NOT KNOW WHAT CCS WILL DO for this event.  I have only offered my opinion...

It doesn't matter really...It only takes me about 15 Mins to throw the slide in on the ToyHauler and the bikes on their ST Stands...

I can unpack/pack in less than 10 Mins...  ;D

I know we didn't have to leave last year...

The ACC thing was a JOKE last year...  :P

Jeff,

Not being an attorney or anything...I ask this openly...

Why can CCS or WERA or whoever post a general sign at the entrance that says something to the effect of "You enter at your own risk" or whatever...

So, just in case that one person does enter, dosn't sign and does try to sue, wouldn't that general sign be enough??

I don't know, just wondering...   :-/
