Hey guys, just need an answer to this...I have the Yamaha Gericke Jacket/Pants 2 piece leathers.  I just ordered the pants.  They are a little bit smaller than my jacket...both parts fit me well though, however when you zip up the full zipper, there's about 2 inches left on the jacket when the pant zipper runs out.  Is this oK...will this pass for the track?  I would assume so becuase not everybody's body is built to fit both parts/sizes of the suit that match up.  Anyway if anyone could let me know that would be great!!

You're a Milwaukee guy, aren't you?  Take it to Spyder Leatherworks.  Alexa will check everything out for you.
BTW, a one-piece suit is what most racers wear....
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Thanks, I will definitely look into that for sure.  I also would like to get "PolishPete" on the back...any idea how much that would cost??  I was just asking if that was gonna be a problem, and if they were going to give me any problems at the track about that this coming weekend.  Anyone know??  Thanks again.

Also, I'm from Downers Grove, IL.  Close enough I guess!!

I can't see your leathers from Kankakee, so I don't know for sure what your situation is.  But Alexa will help you. Call her for an appointment, and run up there after work early next week.  The woman is a godess.  She will not steer you wrong.

What you're describing is not a problem with tech/inspection.  I have worn two piece for the last four years.  I like to be able to loose the jacket without having to go through the struggle of getting out of the whole suit.  I THINK letters on the leathers are $5.00 or $6.00 each at Spider, but contact her.

Hi Pete, The zipper thing is a common fix, and I've PMed you regarding the lettering. Give me a call tomorrow if need be. Thanks!

Do or do not, there is no "try".

You will want to get the zipper fixed if you can, I had the same problem with my JR 2 piece with the zipper running out and leaving a 2" gap. When you slide on your stomach, that's enough for the jacket to ride up and expose your belly to the ground. I've had 1st hand experience with this, luckily didn't slide long enough to get rashed but it did burn through the t-shirt and under armor I had on underneath.
