What is the practice/race schedule for this weekend? I know it is from the 3rd-5th so is there practice Friday and Saturday and races Sunday? How is the weekend set up?

Also, this will be my first race at Daytona (still deciding if I should go), anyone have any tips/advice, things I should avoid, etc. as far as the track, races, etc go? I've been there a few times and know the track is pretty scary and this will be my first real race since I got tangled with another rider at homestead so I don't know if I should sit this one out or not....

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks, but I checked there and it only says the dates (March 3-5) and that the school is Thursday on this page, and my computer is too retarded to open the PDF, which is why I was asking :-[

I am also trying to decide if it is not in my best interest to participate in the event as the only other event I have done is Homestead last month.

If you haven't registered already, I don't know if I would make the trip.  The schedule is: get there at 6:00 am Fri, wait in line for the preregister.  Get into the track like two or three hours later.  Stand in line for tech.  Get your sticker, get your stuff together, by now you missed the first practice session.  Wait about two hours for your next session, get in about ten laps, try to learn how to keep the bike up on the banking, come in, park your bike, or get ready for your first race.  Practice is OVER.  Race, leave the track almost imediately, go to your room.  Saturday Get to track at 7:00 get bike ready for first practice.  Do about ten laps, come in, at least you don't have to change tires, wait around, look for your lap times and results from yesterday.  Go out for second practice session, come in, eat lunch, get ready for your next race.  By now, you are probably getting to know your shift/brake points, so you might have a good time for your last race.  Pack up your stuff, bribe one of the security gaurds with a Coke or water to get your truck back in to pick up your trailer.  Drive home, go to work monday and brag to all your friends that you just raced Daytona.
Help me out if I forgot something.  It is really a blast, if you can get over not getting any track time, and dealing with the dreaded Daytona people.
Have fun. :D
