Picotte, McWilliams, Ciccotto and some BMW Motorrad Cup guy at Daytona . . . on Buells.  I hope we get a preview during some of the CCS races.

Yeah, I bet it goes great.  But at $30k:o, they better have one heck of a contingency program... 8)

Hmmm . . . well, the purse for the Daytona 200 is $16,000, $10,500, $7,500 for the top three.  !!

$16K to win any AMA FX race on a Buell, plus a $15K Daytona 200 bonus. Read the fine print and you'll see something about getting the key to East Troy and Erik's electric guitar collection.  ;)

And Tom, tell me Mr. Key doesn't have something like $30K of development into his Superbike SV...

How much to buy DuHamel's or DiSalvo's bike?

Hey PJ - no doubt, on all your points.  Guess I was thinking in terms of club racing.  Certainly an interesting platform if one is looking to go AMA racing (or maybe a team doing FUSA).  As a privateer, it just seemed like more of an investment than most club racers would want to front.  Then again, I could be wrong on that too...

So are you offering test rides? ? ? ?   :D

I was sticker shocked too when I first read about the $30k but after reading the details about the bike in RRW, honestly it's a pretty reasonable price for what you're getting.

If you A) bought a stock buell and tried to get it the same you'd be in probably just as much money, and the time. Or B) Bought a 600cc to compete in FX same thing you'd probably end up with same money and more time invested.

If you seriously look at the components it has, and were to price them out, not to even mention the things you can't buy like the modified frame $30k's not that bad. Heck anymore you'll spend $10k to be top level competitive in LW classes for regional CCS events, so $30k for AMA FX isn't that bad.
