This confession may sound strange coming from a writer with a published novel, but I don't know how to type. :-[  I'm pretty quick with two fingers, but I have to stare at the keyboard as I peck to hit the right letters.  What I need is more words per minute, so I figured that it was high time I learned to type like normal people do.
I've always failed miserably at typing before. It really makes my arms and hands hurt,  This time my wife bought me a special keyboard that is curved instead of straight.  The good thing is that this new keyboard alieves all pain when I practice normal typing.  The bad part is that I can't 2-finger type for sh1t on this new keyboard!
So right now I'm really up the creek.  I can hardly communicate on this stupid thing, and it's not going to get any better until I learn how to type for real.  So far after 30 hours of practice, I've learned about half the keys, but it isn't at all easy.  There's a reason they teach kids to type while their young brains can still learn new tricks!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
I'm effin frustrated! >:(
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

I took typing the summer between high school & college; thought it would be a great way to meet girls.  I don't know where that dumb idea came from; an 18 yr old dude in a room full of mid-life crisis soap opera watching man haters....but I learned how to type

Chris - I've heard good things about a program that helps teach you - Mavis Brown or something like that.  I'm at best a decent 4-6 finger typist but really would love to learn too (sad seeing as how I did pass typing in HS).

Or do it like I did - put your fingers on "home row" and tape a piece of paper over 'em.  Keeps ya from cheatin'. ;)

That is the program I'm using.  I hate Mavis.  She secretly laughs at me, I can tell....
