QuoteSome of you may or may not know Adam Range, 19 years of age from Jerseyville, IL. Adam is the stepson of Vernon Lux, an employee of Ted's Motorcycle World in Alton. Adam just graduated from Jerseyville Community High School this spring and was active in the JCHS soccer and hockey teams, as well as being an avid motorcyclist, a hobby that he shared with his step-dad. Adam is a very personable guy who never meets a stranger and loves spending time with friends and family.

On June 21st. while swimming at a friend's home, Adam dove into the water hitting his head and crushing his fifth vertebrae. Adam now cannot move from the chest down and has limitations of his hands. He has been making some progress, though Physical Therapy, but has a long, long road to recovery and some sense of normalcy. We are conducting a raffle to help raise money for Adam's special needs and the tremendous cost of his rehabilitation.

Raffle Item: 1998 Suzuki TL1000 motorcycle

Ticket Cost: $25 each

There will be a minimum of 200 tickets sold for this raffle and a MAXIMUM of 400 tickets available. This will give you a 1 in 400 chance to win this pre-owned motorcycle that is generously being donated by Josh King of St. Charles, MO. After a minimum of 200 tickets are sold, we will continue to sell tickets until one of the following criteria is met. 1. 400 total tickets are sold. 2. Sixty days after the minimum amount of 200 tickets are sold. The motorcycle that is being donated for this raffle is a Pre-owned motorcycle and does NOT come with any warranty, either written, oral, or implied. You must be at least 18 years of age to legally claim your prize if you are the winner in this raffle. The title of the above motorcycle is held by the donator, Josh King of St. Charles, MO. All monies collected will go to the following:

Adam Range Special Needs Trust
Jerseyville Banking Center
201 W. Exchange St.
Jerseyville, IL 62002

To purchase a ticket or tickets for this raffle, please contact:
Vernon Lux. I will have them with me at Ted's on the days that I work, or you may contact me at home: 618-215-5284. Please note:

ALL CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO:
Adam Range Special Needs Trust..................Not Vernon Lux

Cash is also acceptable, but I do not have a way to do credit card purchases. Paypal collects a fee of approx. 4%, so I would really prefer NOT to do that method.

If a "lottery" type giveaway is illegal in your state please try to keep these guys out of trouble!!   I am not sure if this is a problem but wouldnt want to taint what they are trying to accomplish here!

thanks for looking all!!

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Thank you to all of you that have sent money and requested a ticket or tickets.  The raffle is going fairly well, but I still have approx. 125 tickets left of the 400 that was printed.
Adam is slowing improving, but the Drs have now said that it is not likely that he will walk again.  This is not the news that I wanted to hear.  He is a very strong willed young man and I'm sure that if it is physically possible, he WILL walk again.  Thanks in advance and please pray for his recovery.
